Safety of electrical installation has always been a mystery to different clients. Growing market demand for electrical contractors, attract very wide range of companies with different policies in safety. Unfortunately, we have witnessed many non standard works due to low quality products, lack of awareness and professionalism which can be both costly and fatal.
Most of these accidents can be avoided by careful planning and straightforward precautions.
Different kinds of tests and Inspection services provided by AEM:
- Testing Electrical Installation & Fixed Wiring
- Portable Appliances Test(PAT)
- Power quality measurement
- Vibration Test
- Insulation resistance test
- Continuity test
- Loop & line resistance test
- RCD switching time
- RCD tripping level
- RCD variable current
- Earth resistance
- Periodic preventive test
- …
Vibration test
Machine vibration is simply the back and forth movement of machines or machine components. Some time, vibration can lead to machine damage (such as in pumps, motors, fans,…).
Measuring and monitoring the vibration characteristics of a machine gives us an understanding of the ‘health’ condition of machine. We can use this information to detect problems that might be developing. Machine vibration that is not detected early enough will often lead to severe damage, High power consumption, machine unavailability, quality problem, unfinished business and requires costly repairs or even total machine replacement. This is similar to our own health. Regular visits to a doctor help us to detect problems early and so avoid the large costs of remedying severe health damage.
In AEM we carry out:
- Troubleshoot problem equipment and understand the root cause of failure
- Commission new equipment and ensure proper installation
- Provide quantifiable proof of equipment condition and drive investment in repair or replacement
- Prioritize and plan repair activities and operate more efficiently
- Anticipate equipment failures before they happen and take control of spare parts inventories
- Fault severity scale will help the client to prioritize maintenance work
Power quality measurement
Power quality has worsened because of the increase in the use of power electronic devices using inverters, unbalanced loads such as rectifiers, non-linear loads, variable frequency drives and so on. Poor power quality such as harmonics and reactive loads can negatively affect your utility bill. We are using measuring devices complying with IEC 61010-1 to ensure accuracy and reliability of our test reports and solutions.
- Testing, identifying and measuring losses in the system
- Detailed loss analysis
- Providing energy wasted in your facility due to the presence of harmonics which can lead to overheating transformers, tripping of circuit breakers and early failure of electrical equipment
- Checking reactive power(poor power factor)
- Providing energy saving solutions by discovering the energy waste caused by power quality issues
- Checking unbalanced loads in the system
Portable Appliance Test (PAT) is the term used to describe the examination of electrical appliances such as electric kettle, microwave oven, printer, washing machine,… etc, to make sure they are safe to use.
We are using only most trusted tools in power measurement industry such as FLUKE to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our reports.
